True MemoriesA Chapter by Ethan PazA poem for Crystal
What
can I do to instill my memories alive again?
One
dark, rainy night, we splashed in countless numbers of puddles -together.
We laughed.
Another
night when the wind blew gently, we lifted our voiced together to the Creator.
We sang.
And
I have to say this, baby, do you remember the time we walked the wrong set of
escalators?
We laughed some more.
I
also remember the last time I saw your face. We both had to part in that rainy,
dreary day.
We cried - together.
I
miss you, baby.
These
precious memories seem to turn into vapors.
It
is hard to enjoy them as I once have,
But
You
are in my heart,
And
I
can never stop dreaming of you.
The
thoughts of you overwhelm me!
But
that does not change my feelings for you:
Only
you
can I run to when my heart weighs like a mountain.
Only
you
do I desire when I break down into tears.
Only
you
do I wish to embrace when joy floods my soul.
Only
you
do I wish to be with when darkness arrives.
Only you can hold my heart.
Only you can hold back the darkness;
Only you can make the light to shine.
Only you can bring down a tear or pull
up a smile.
I am happy to say, Crystal, that you
are mine.
