Let's Transcend

I want to escape from sound and word, and light.
I want us to feel what we did that night.
I want us to talk with our eyes once more.
I want you to feel the energy I still feel inside.

We Might have mistaken it for love,
but I think it is purer than that,
higher than the organic mess that builds and breaks our trust.
It is not requiring of your loyalty or lust,
it merely asks that you relinquish your severity and might,
the very tool that brought you into the light,
the system that dominates your mind.

Let the ends of your nerves touch mine.
Let our beings connect and fly,
like the reflections of the sun on the moon through the sky.

But only for a moment,
that is all that I ask.
Just a moment,
free from my selfish mask.
