The Bazaar

The Bazaar

A Poem by Lucy Green
"

I wrote this about a Peruvian flea market a went too a while ago.

"

Come one, come all

To the beautiful bazaar!

Here we sell many things

From edible weeds to fairy wings.

Feathery masks,

Transparant flasks

Full of glittering dust

Thats worthy of lust,

A claimed dragons' tooth,

A fortune from a sooth,

Poisionous berries,

A song from golden canaries,

Arabic viels,

An old mappers fail,

Taste healing roots,

Eyes the seller's loot;

The ancient door is ajar

Leading to the shimmering bazaar.
