What I'm thankful for

What I am truly thankful for, because I will probably lie about it to my family tomorrow...

I'm thankful for...

My mother, for listening to me,

and always being there.

My father, for taking care of us,

and always doing his best.

My sister, for keeping me

from constant loneliness.

My baby sister, for being born,

and giving me something to live for.

My Best friend, for understanding me,

and always being honest.

My ex boyfriend, for showing me

the kind of person he really is.

My friends, for being there for me,

even though I don't deserve them.

my teachers, for trying so hard every day,

just so I can graduate.

My classmates,for always keeping me

entertained.

My past crushes, for showing me

what "love" is...

My ex friends, for showing me

what "friendship" is...

My books, that taught me so much

about life, and who I want to be.

Myself, for always doing my best,

and never giving up, no matter what.

Author's Note

This isn't as much of a poem as it is me pretty much just rambling... But still, I thought the world deserved the truth about the things that I am truly thankful for. I have had a hard life, and these people were what kept me going, even though it would have been easier to just end it all. I was having more thoughts of suicide today, but then I remembered these people, so I thought I would write this all down to make myself feel better. Don't worry, I'm not going to kill myself, so don't freak out :)
