I was recently dumped by the boy I thought would always love me.

 

You said you'd always be there.

Now here you are,

leaving me behind.

You said you'd always love me.

Now here you are,

saying you're no longer mine.

I thought I was your whole world.

But it turns out

I was just a waste of time.

 

I let you in.

I told you everything.

I cleaned out my heart and soul

and gave you the contents.

You were the best thing

that ever happened to me.

And I really thought

You would always

be mine.

 

But here you are

saying you don't love me.

Here you are

saying you don't need me.

5 days ago

you said you'd always love me.

But here you are

and you honestly

don't care.

 

I thought I knew you.

I thought you were the one.

But it turns out,

your just another guy.

I gave you everything I had

but you still left me.

So how can you stand there

and act

as if you did nothing wrong?

 

I was a fool

for falling for you.

I should have known

I would never be

as important to you

as other things.

You were always so invested

in the rest of your life

that you

forgot about me.

Well I hope you have fun

growing up to fast.

And I hope you enjoy

the rest of your life

without me in it.

 

You aren't a man,

you're a coward.

You run and hide

instead of staying

to fight.

I can't believe

I could fall for such a coward.

A coward

who never once

faught for me.

 

So here you are.

The one who stole my heart.

I want it back.

Give it back.

My heart is broken right now. My boyfriend just dumped me 4 days ago, and I needed to release these feelings of regret.

I've never had a similar experience, but you make it so that I totally understand with how you wrote this poem. It's great!
However, I'm sorry you had to have this happen to you. Just remember, guys are super immature right now. Think of it as his loss. He clearly didn't deserve the attention you were willing to give him. I hope you're feeling better about everything as soon as possible!
