Dark and Quiet

Dark and Quiet

A Poem by gabiaimee
"

These are not negative things.

"
For him to love you, you must first love yourself. No one ever loves the dark and depressed. Be as bright as the sun and he won't be able to resist. Be as quiet as the night and he will have no way to see you.
But darkened silence breeds such beautiful things. Grey rainclouds bring the wetness that grows everything green, and the black ones release the brilliance of storms that water the Earth. Enclosed, windowless safes guard the most precious and beautiful things, just as guarded bodies shelter gentle and affectionate souls.

Lovely writing! Sure you meant "but" in the second paragraph? It feels as if these two paragraphs can be two poems......there is sufficient substance in both......the tone of the first is of advice giving from a wise person, whereas the second could be general truth for everyone........I like the positive spin you put on darkness and those grey moments.....:)
