Halfway Right

Halfway Right

A Poem by Kenneth The Poet

all things are halfway right,
a prior work of art stated

is that the correct fraction
or just a value pulled from
the crack of a homeless
hayseed's a*s?

as if the homeless
hayseeds can perform
mental mathematical magic
in addition to possessing
vocal pipes of gold

but one should never
disparage the downtrodden
and those without
roof ownership
because karma
can be imagined
as wearing a
black robe
and carrying
a sling blade

all subtle knife like

humans bisected and
trisected like angles,
segments and
pieces of cake

a sometimes gruesome reality
but an all the time metaphor
for the human soul or spirit
or whatever any religious
tradition calls it

we are shattered beings,
pieces of sharp mirror glass
reflecting the events back
onto the memorial eyes

maybe all things are halfway right
or a third way right
or a fourth way right
or a fifth way right

either way,
life is or maybe feels like
an infinite harmonic series

always diverging

never converging

this is absurdity at its finest

we can map stars in the sky
and on paper but the nature
of star stuff itself may never
be truly known

the solution to that query
is one out of infinity

There is a non-linear something in the way you write that has the potential for very fine and original verse. I especially liked this stanza:

we can map stars in the sky
and on paper but the nature
of star stuff itself may never
be truly known

Thank you, Starchance!
Always good to read your words and thoughts. The lines underneath I believe.

I do believe in karma and being kind. We never know where we will end up? Thank you for the outstanding poetry.
