Enola Gay

A Poem by GeraldFIngBurke

4  4  8  6  2  9  2
Screeching steel broke brilliant blue

0  5  1  8  1  9  4  5
Unchained destruction came alive

0  8  0  6  1  9  4  5
Little boy begins his dive

1  6  6  0  0  0
Should we reap what we have sewn?

I like this. One of my favourite (for favourite, read obsessional) subjects because of the crap we went through as kids - there were so many times that I was afraid we were all going to die any minute in Nuclear war.
The question at the end brings to bear one's beliefs - eg Karma and that.
Good job Gerald.

A very creative poem using numbers and dates to.state a historical fact and tragedy. Perhaps it changed man's history and fear of extermination forever. Perhaps not???
