Fall

Fall

A Poem by Healing Star

Fall, I Welcome You
Turning Leaves
Moisture in your Breath
Summer I will not Grieve

Smells of Soils
Accepting the Gifts of Decay
Damp Mornings
Prepare the Winters Stage

Fall, I Welcome You
The Forests Finale
Before they return to Nakedness
And store their Saps for Spring

Time to gather the Roots
Bring them in Before the Freeze
The Cold Nights Now
Will bring the Brilliant Leaves Flaming

Fall, I Welcome You
I've takin' time to Prepare
Summer leaves us Not Wanting
But Trusting and Aware

As we move closer to Darkness
We Settle within for Comfort
The Skies begin to grow Deeper
And the Gifts we Seek Refreshed

Fall, I Welcome You
I've takin' time to Prepare
Summer leaves us Not Wanting
But Trusting and Aware

About
I am a man who has finally realized he needs to write down what matters to him, that I might learn from myself, what is important, what I value. To capture who I am now, for that is all we have is no.. more..
