Remembering

Remembering

A Poem by Healing Star

Rememberin' simpler Times
Before cities I Knew
Before All my Crimes
Before All my Storms Blew

Rememberin' when I was Young
Runnin' the trail to the Beach
Everything was fresh on my Tounge
So easy to find what I would Seek

Time spent by the fresh Waters
Laughing with Trees, laying in Leaves
Bashful with the Daughters
Didn't know there were Theives

Rememberin' Simpler Times
Before I started Waring Within
Kinda would be nice to Rewind
Before I learned the meaning of Sin

Rememberin' when I was Young
My Smile would light the Room
Before my Heart had ever been Stung
Before I was introduced to Gloom

Somethin' tells me it'll be Okay
Maybe it's the one I'm Rememberin'
From yesterday to here Today
I think he's Sayin' you're Forgiven

Even if you know it isn't True
Please just let it Be
Cuz I've never had a gripe with You
Allow me a moment to feel Free

About
I am a man who has finally realized he needs to write down what matters to him, that I might learn from myself, what is important, what I value. To capture who I am now, for that is all we have is no.. more..
