Hey Little Walter

Hey Little Walter

A Poem by ghaw2007

Hey Little Walter

Verse 1

You spent many days riding your bike

And many nights telling ghost stories

Whenever you were with your friends having such a good time

They they started to lie

Giving you wrong directions to their tree house

They kept on pushing you away

They didn't want you around them

How could they not realize what they were doing was wrong?

Why didn't they stop and think about the way you'd react?

Verse 2

Do you think about getting hungry

And not having anything to eat?

Do you think about getting cold

And not having any shelter from the wind?

Let me tell you something that nobody knows

I was their friend a long time ago

I didn't know that they were talking behind my back

They though that I was the enemy

I should have known that something was wrong

But I was too blind to see

Bridge

You and I are strangers

Maybe we will become friends

Only time will tell

Sooner or later you will have to trust someone

Chorus

Hey Little Walter, where are you going?

I don't want you to be alone anymore

Hey Little Walter, where are you going?

If you runaway, I will run with you

But don't go rushing into it

Take all the time you need
