Standing Together

We used to be divided

But now we're united

Enemies we once were

Friends we are now

The war we fought only pushed us to hate each other

Knowledge and wisdom made us stand together

We always compete against one another

Winning was the only way to prove we were superior

Losing was disgraceful

It simply meant that you were weak

Seeing the other suffer was the ultimate goal

There's no longer angry voices

We're not afraid anymore

We lived a life of fear

But now we live in peace

Pain and suffering were a way of life

After awhile we were used to the bombs and the guns

When we were attacked, we just had to retaliate

Even if it meant we could die
