Vast beauty

Vast beauty

A Poem by Ghiasquared

Upon the night
the slow rise
of the universe

Rising upon
my vision
from afar

Snowflakes in reverse
quiet march
never slowing

As mine eyes
sweep across
in awe and silence

The vision
disappears upon
the night

Slowly blanketed
the horizon
consumes

The stars are grains
of sand
time marching on

It is indeed awe inspiring to look up on a clear night at the vast array of celestial bodies. They were much the same when we were young, but as the poem notes, time marches on.
