It seems like a thousand days since we last saw one another,

Tears come, I take a deep breath - I breathe,

The pain stays, and no one understands how I miss the togetherness,

We are separated by the lonely stretch of miles and miles.

I think and I dream about you all the time,

When I'm missing you... It’s lonely here without you,

No matter how much I smile, you’re on my lonely mind,

And when it gets hard, please know you have the only place in my heart.

You're with me as I dream, dream of it being only you and only me,

The darkness never disappears, but I keep dreaming I wasn’t in this place,

I spend hours, days, and weeks - time missing you - my destiny,

My loneliness, my solitude, they won't take away my love.

I miss your warmth, your smile, your laughter - I miss those eyes,

The sleepless nights, oh so many sleepless nights I wish you were here,

But until I see you again - I am not complete knowing I’m here without you....

Before my hubby and I married, we had a long distant relationship that both Hallmark and AT&T majorly prospered from. The distance can be quite taxing on the heart, especially when everyone else around you is walking on sunshine. But it does make the heart grow fonder...makes it even stronger, too!
