I shall only ever be me.

I shall only ever be me.

A Poem by Gilad Levanon
"

How to win a girl's heart.

"
Lying here flashbacking on a Sunday afternoon,
Remembering her beauty under the light of the moon,
I tried to satisfy her,
I tried to gratify her,
I tried to excite her,
I tried to ignite her,

But she was disinterested with my attempt,
And it was all I could do to restrain my contempt,
I couldn't blame her for the fact that I'm boring,
Obviously it was I who needed to do some exploring,

So I abandoned my mission of premeditated seduction,
I accepted defeat,
It was no easy feat,
And it was so,
That she would drift into the past and I would never know,

Once I relinquished my childish schemes to win her over,
That night no longer mattered,
I lost my inhibitions and suave exterior,
That were designed to have her smitten and flattered,

And as I behaved as me,
A strange paradox did come to be,
She laughed and smiled and seemed to realize,
That she truly enjoyed gazing into my eyes,

Beautiful Sunday afternoon lazing in bed,
Upon my shoulder rests your head,
Never again shall I wear a mask of who I think you want me to be,
I shall only ever be me

I'm interested in finding the ultimate question. I know the answer's 42 but "What is six times seven?" doesn't satisfy me. more..
