I wrote this for all those that are no longer with us!

Every question asked by me

Comes back unanswered, with no relief

I talk to the wind, every time ignored

Wait, come back please don’t leave

As a ghost goes unseen my answers elude me

 

Who am I to question you or anyone else

About decisions not yours to make

You were my world, gone dark too soon

Like a cloud in the heavens here one minute, gone another

Somehow I still feel you around me

 

I look to the sky, and fall to my knees

Asking yet another, whom I can not see

Why was my world taken away

Please give me answers, take away the pain

Rain on me with love, hope, faith

 

Overwhelming peace in my soul, tears in my eyes

You gave the answers I have so long chased

I see that smile, that beautiful face

I will see you again, hold your hand, feel your grace

My friend I miss you, and I’ll see you on a better day.

A powerful poem that should be driven by music within it. One song on your profile would be perfect if you placed it in the Author Notes. The song Pieces by Red would be great to listen to while reading this amazing poem. It flows so smoothly, and music would greatly enhance the power of this poem. I can't think of anyway I would improve it.

The stanza

can apply not only to this situation but many others. it brings tears to my eyes! gorgeous!

This is absolutely beautiful. You were able to capture the feelings of many when they seek out answers to a loved one taken away. It gives that gut wrenching, nagging painful feeling, an answer that finally puts you at ease. An amazing write.
