Longing

Longing

A Poem by Botania
"

Sometimes longing is all we have. Sometimes that's enough.

"
Silently
I watch you make
a world your own
in which you take
the simplest things
that you've been given
and make them shine
in life we live in.
Longingly
I wonder how
you know so much.
You've strived 'til now
to be the one
you're meant to be
while all the world
smiles breathlessly.
But longingly,
my arms know now
the purpose in
your furrowed brow
as you persist
complexity
to be your best
sincerely.

You`ve described admiration so well and so simply. A beautiful example of a soft, musical poem. Well done. P.

This is a very lovely and simple poem. Yes simple but in my eyes I love simple poems as that is how I write. I like them because they are to the point and you don't have to try to interpret each word. So I think this is a very good poem and I just love the word, "Longingly" that you used in this piece.

Longing is good, dreaming keep the spirit alive...I agree longing is enough at times.
