Better Places..

Better Places..

A Poem by Aysia
"

a quick short one I wrote.

"
Better places we strive to find,
Better places we want to have.
A better hope,
A ticket out it says.
Dripped in blood,
An unmarked grave.
Better places we seek to have,
Better places we gamble for.
Promises and threats of war,
An inner battle.
An inner struggle.
Dangerous smuggle.
All around the bright and vivid
Paintings called crime.
Rhymes and rhythms spat over
A worn microphone.
Carelessly thrown.
Better places,
Worn old, sickly faces.
Better places we strive to find,
Better places we want to have.
A better hope,
A ticket out, it says.
Dripped in blood,
An unmarked grave.

Thank you :)
unfortunately, those better places are no longer found in such a world of craziness. we have to make the places we live in better or no other place to go. this is the fact, i dont think trying to scape is logic since there is no place to run away to.

i loved how you have penned this in such a nice way..

my pleasure
i see wars literally in this...and those who die in unmarked graves, but also an analogy to those who live in anonymity and die that way...i also see the wars of love and relationships...and heart's blood shed.

as was said before...thought provoking piece...the two last lines in repetition really work very well.
