Sardonic laughter

Sardonic laughter

A Poem by G. Marie"floating on an endless sea of poetry"

words spoken reflect

what's in hearts

envy greed lust

some deadly sins

saucy words spin

sardonic laughter

heard through the rafters

a fate of her own demise

a grieving widow

may she never be

never a pathos thought she

for the widow she had no sympathy

words meandering through her head

spew out like a serpents sardonic plague

intents on stomping hearts

with saucy words she spread

best to distant oneself

from her deadly charms

imagine  the pain and harm

from  the bitter words

scandalizing innocent

there can be no splendor

in wrath she renders

You know the kind

need I not remind

keep your distant

live  and let live

and forgive and not relive

imagine a world of bliss

away from the snake's hiss

the sounds in this poem echo the theme beautifully.

It reminds me of the saying..*the power of life and death is in the tongue.* This poem made me very afraid of this woman. She seems to be beautiful, but have a power that overwhelms. The hiss wrapped it up perfectly. I love it!

this was done rather well and the imagery is great. As I read this I pictured Medusa and her hair of snakes. This poem is strong and hard. the thoughts and sentiments are clearly portrayed in the this poem. Well done for the words I choice of the group this week were harder words.

this is pretty good... really great imagery. However, in the first line, I think "refect" should be "reflect". Besides that, good job!

Some woman make even the wisest of men fall knowing the coming pain. A very good poem. I like the description. Last line was very cool. A outstanding poem. Thank you.
