Petrarchan sonnet

Petrarchan sonnet

A Poem by Paul Shannon

Wordsworth! Instill in me your Holy power
Humanities have need of me - now and again
In small bouts of random dharmic zen
They sweeten up a consomme left curdling and sour
Thanks to longanimity there's reason for us to glower
'Cos they're still selfish men, to be pampered and then
Razed by a playpen of businessmen
Soft and pink in pecuniary towers

Yes, dear reader, discover perspicuous art
The relevance relevant to me
A sonnet in two different parts
Thank you, William for drawing the chart
For me to be, referentially,
Petrarchan right from the start
