Star Tritina

Star Tritina

A Poem by Floydine Haberdasher
"

My first real poem. It's still one of my favorites. I was lets see... about 15 or so. Heh, seems so long ago.

"

As I walk I think of you
I see your face in the ripple
of a still pond at night

And this is like the night
when I first saw you
when the stars were fixed in ripple

Upon twinkling ripple
and the figure cloaked in night
was you

Alas, you are gone now, and all that remains is a ripple in the night.

Your first poem ,and may I add a very nice one indeed. You have great imagery and tone in this poem. Very nicely done!
