Abandoned Garden

Abandoned Garden

A Poem by Lale
"

random stuff

"
rambling through my garden
looking at the different type of rocks that I never knew about
wondering how many creatures had to say goodbye to their beloved ones
in my garden

rambling through my garden
discovering the lilacs near my hiking boots
roses along the abondoned rosemary pots
how is this garden still alive?

rambling through my garden
disclosing the hidden door
that leads to my kitchen
I faint

I find this so interesting in a metaphorical sense...I find the garden relating to the speaker's life.
The flowers of good fortune sometime overrun by the rocks of insecurity and pain...love as the rose abandoned, the hiking boots--moving on each time...
and then just being overwhelmed at the end...trying to get back to herself but fainting before she can quite make it that door she used to find easily...she thought she knew where to find it...but it has moved on her.
life will surely get us disoriented at times.

I really like your interpretation.. thank you so much for your lovely review.
This is going to sound wild, but I found myself in a metaphoric reading about SEX! "In my garden" is often a way to refer to the female genitalia, so that got me off on it, then the ROCKS (I was promiscuous in my youth, so many rocks actually DID get dashed shortly after I got what I wanted *wink! wink!* Being old, it does feel like I'm looking at an abandoned garden these days! I'm sorry, I'm taking this in a weird direction. Actually, once again I'm inspired to write about my own garden, which I love, becuz you show such fresh ways to write about anything ordinary. This could also be about a garden of things we've written and/or forgotten/tossed. (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

thank you @Kay-T, looking forward to reading your writings
I liked rambling through your garden. Roses, rosemary, llacs have stimulated my sense of smell. Wonderful fragrances. Then topped by a secret door to your kitchen. Wow I am thinking, do you live in a mansion? An intriguing write from the perspective of a garden lover.
