Rain

Rain

A Poem by Dylan Cook

 Hard times fall like rain

 Flooding the whole country

 Everyone's in some pain

Or is in some kind of misery

 The economy is in ruins

The war is getting even worse

No one knows what they're doing

It feels like we're under a curse

 Hard times fall like rain

 Flooding the whole country

 Everyone's in some pain

Or is in some kind of misery

My boyfriend broke up with me

Leaving me hurt, sad and so alone

I'm caught up in my misery

It hurts deep down to my bones

 Hard times fall like rain

 Flooding the whole country

 Everyone's in some pain

Or is in some kind of misery

A little reminiscent of Bob Dylan's "A Hard Rain's a-gonna Fall" Well, you're right--things look kinda rough right now. I'm not going to give up hope, though. Your poem is well-written.
