Middle of the earth

When I was 9 years old, my mother and I went for a walk in the fields. At some point, we were only surrounded by nature..."There's nothing else around us mum, it's the middle of the earth!"

A spring day

out in the fields

spinning in circles

everything's green

Nobody out there

but us

to be seen

seems like the middle of the earth to me

Author's Note

When I was 9 years old, my mum and I went for a walk in the fields. At some point, we were only surrounded by grass, everything green. "There's nothing else around us, it's the middle if the earth" I said. I can't remember saying it, but she told me later on. Wrote this poem on a tram
