Loss

Loss

A Poem by Grahm Thoman

          Loss

Alone

Cold

Frightened

Unheard

Mislead

To interact and try; to never be understood

To smile and laugh, but never heard.

To watch the feathers float and fall; never to hear the bird sing

To want and need, left to wonder down the hall.

The tears spill out of your eyes; yet to not hear a single cry

Slipping and streaming with no end, to wait until they dry.

To own such loss and hope.

To never know.

Wow, this is full of emotion..deep sorrow that is not spoken. Great buildup and the tempo is spot on.
