No name blues

No name blues

A Poem by gram linski

Another week of no-thing
no change in the
no name blues
the problems
unanswered
untreated
unsolved
unspoken
ignored,

remain the same
I dragged my weary carcass
to the top of mountains to see
 stunning panoramic views
I saw fog
and the fog saw me,

I swam in seas and rivers
with concrete for a soul
just to see what would be,

I drowned in fire
and burned in rain
and the Winter chill
warmed my bones
the howling savage wind
soothed me

the sun scarred lavish sky
soaked me to the skin,

I drank a pint of
bad thought noise
and detuned to static radio
my amp fedback my feedback
the empty page blanked itself

another week of no-thing
no change in the
no name blues

While there is chaos everywhere, and we are trying to find a pathway of solutions, mother nature is smiling. Yes, the environment is having a breather while many of us are feeling the blues. There have been many losses and some people are really suffering. I have always found nature to be a healer. Good morning gram.

Mother Nature is often a refuge in this crazy time we are living through. Hearing the birds sing or feeling the summer breeze can elevate my mood. "I drank a pint of bad thought noise"....what a great line in a great poem. I enjoyed this one. Lydi**

' I drowned in fire - and burned in rain - and the Winter chill - warmed my bones - the howling savage wind soothed me - '

Seems however the world treat us, it stays same best it can. Whereas that doesn't apply to us mere mortal because although we surely need to adapt, not always well.. because trying is experimental and QED can be a failure or near enough . At present, in this mess of viral life, we're still scrabbling for what, where and how the hell.. mere survivors. But but in the process, are told by those in the know that in many places the world's in better condition without planes, cars and like (Cows - methane?) Our lack of movement is benefiting our environment. Perhaps that says something for humankind to stand and watch the roses grow, Seems we're fluctuating tween stillness and madness.. do we actually stop still, relaxed, calm - or do bungee jumps or go caving so as to experience all we can before.. whatever happens. Two schools of thought.. and still after three reads, I love the blues in this night smt still unsure as to the harmony!

I like that being no-named seems to make anything possible. Like the rules of physics don’t apply because you are this thing that doesn’t exist, as such, in the greater realm of reality. Or that’s sort of how it seems to me. Where the opposite of what is expected is the thing that happens.

Like: swimming with a concrete soul but staying afloat, climbing a beautiful mountain only to see fog—the beauty blocked out, or being drowned in fire and burned in rain. These things seem counterintuitive, and impossible, really, but when the soul feels untethered the mind and heart end up in strange places.

There is a sense of despair that permeates at points, but also a sense of empowerment. If feeling afloat allows the freedom to pursue experience and try and find the thing that makes you feel, then there is certainly always hope that asserting that power will lead to the revelation sought. Every new day, even if only seen through fog, offers another opportunity to find the name and move forward in the glory of being clothed in that identity.

This is a sort of zen poem in that it grapples with the two extremes and seeks its balance. There is a peace in that, especially if that balance is realized. So, I’m personally fanning away the fog and there, a little ways off, I see the sun. Great poem, Gram.

absolutely love the sixth stanza..."my amp fed back my feedback"
no matter how loud we play the music...we are still inside ourselves right now...
singing the blues...as Guy Mitchell sang...
"I never felt more like running away"---
cause I couldn't stay...
swimming with a concrete soul takes a lot of strength...we need it to get through these times.
so well writ...my friend.

Sometimes you've got the blues and you don't quite know why but I bet nowadays more people than ever feel a bit down. I liked your poem.
