The View from a Dream

The View from a Dream

A Poem by gram linski

The View from a Dream;
-
 - a rose,
cumulus cloud faces
wind blown features, drifting
across azure soaked skies
the theft of reality
                             unravelling
-
in time, in time,
a buzz of chaos
     of pollination
                 re      generation
-
a halo of light
                            and dive and swim
in the soft sonic cushion
               of a dolphins grin
-
deep in the shadow of night
in the cloak of nefarious remains
     a slight hint of guilt
a sliver of steel sharpened intentions
a rainbow of auras dancing primary
numbers
melting to lilac, lavender scented
-
     view from a rose -
                               -  a dream
-
a god - like blue that escapes the senses
that escape I reach for
yearn for, ( bleed ),
the tear drops of Angels
quench thirst and quell thoughts
and dissolve in the dawn
-
grey fog - grey colors bled, shimmering, shape shifting
 - cloud - like - smoke - like ,shape shifting,
only rays of sunlight showing  blue spirals,
thermals, waiting for
tiny vultures to appear and dis ....
                          ( carrion )
and minute shadows created the rose

and the rose created the dream

and the dream
                       ( sweating, moaning, )
( screAMED, and screamed, ) screams

and flower yields to the gentle
     seduction of sun
                                 sun
                                        sun

spreading her butterfly petals of  fun
                                                               fun
                                                    fun.
Done.

WHOA! That was a complete trip around the sun. At first, I was relating the sensations of losing one's tethers, becuz that's how life often feels to me these days. But then your poem turns a corner into a more sensual direction, a vivid & seering account of how it can feel to be immersed in one's passion (((HUGS)))

Beautiful piece here...I wonder....do we really create the dream or does the dream create us?
and is there a little bit of rose in everyone?

I am glad and I enjoyed your work my friend.
love the look of your free form ....daydreaming no matter how lofty and pleasant seems to be susceptible to grey doubts and fears ... looking to tear down the dream .. we are human after all ... and there is a reality in the hard rocks of life ... really enjoyed the imaging and scents in this one .. gotta mention:
"a halo of light
and dive and swim
in the soft sonic cushion
of a dolphins grin" .... kills me! surprise steamy closing says i! afternoon delight in the morning it seems ;) nice work all around in my opinion ...

Felt exhilaration here gram. A dream of Paradise. Intoxicating in its beauty. However dreams don't last and there is always the negative which has to find a way in to spoil it all. Yes, the smoke gets in the way. Shapes change. Happiness doesn't hang around before the mood changes. You stirred the senses here with this intriguing write.
