On a Wing and a Prayer

There are times when all you have is your on convictions, ethics, motivation....faith

"
Ironbutts Journey Journal Entry: On a Wing and a Prayer. Paul Roberts.

So long ago..left that dirt floor shack..
not even once regretting that..
pocket full of hope...on a wing and a prayer...
heading out somewhere..
any where but there....
Wings will give you flight.. puts distance when needed...
prayers will lift you up... give comfort ...healing....
Wings had been clipped..broken and tattered...
prayers have helped ...in times when it mattered.
Remembered the first time the wings didn't help...
wrong place wrong time.... pretty much hell...
relied on on my brothers to my left and right...
whole lot of praying when your wings have no flight...
So long ago...never looking back...
each step a struggle to keep on the right track ....
On a wing and a prayer.... a journey .... moving on...
wings for the distance.... prayer to keep strong.
