Hello, Spring

Hello, Spring

A Poem by GuineaPig
"

i was sitting outside with a notebook and pencil and just started writing. no high expectations plz.

"
I ponder over a blank page
Slowly filling with graphite
An eraser in one hand
As I write with the other

The sun beats down on my bent neck
And when I look up to think
It gets in my eyes, greeting me happily
Whispers "I'm back" in the brightest of undetectable song

Buds against an open sky of blue
With a single paint-stroke cloud
They rustle in a tiny breeze
That lifts my hair

I look back over
My messy scribbles
And decide I like them after all.

"Hello, Fly," I murmur at a passing buzz
"Hello, Robin," to a trill of song.
"Hello, Spring," I say, feeling slightly dorky
And close my notebook
To walk around in sprouts of green grass.

This was spontaneous; it's unedited as of now and reviews would be appreciated! also, any better title ideas? Also, do you think i should split this into two poems, the one about writing and the one about spring, or do you think i should leave it?

A lovely poem-I adore spring ^^ In my opinion the poem is great as it is-you should be rather proud of this little masterpiece, well done!

Good poem. I think you should leave like it is. It's good already.

I like it as one longer poem, it flows very well as it is.
I loved the fourth stanza. It read so well =) You have a beautiful way of putting your thoughts across.

I'm not the best at writing, but I like it, so I really really appreciate constructive criticism, because I'd like to get better at it. I like poetry a lot... I'm not experienced much... that's all more..
