Ma fin est Mon commencement

Ma fin est Mon commencement

A Poem by Samuel Ferris

Of all the passers by

on dingy streets and

avenue one ways

while the days run dry

in sunny dustly etched out crevices,

the peoples and their sheep

look for water before the god-star heaves

its agony over the horizon.

and of all the yous

that pass me by

you who id wished and willed

with all my might to find

my truth in old kisses

pass and with a glance, know

my truest me.

In the awkward proportions

of the morning,

in the absence of old angles;

I Pass and become symmetric

In the light of the new Day.

Author's Note

Samuel Ferris
this is a kind of abstract blend of a post apocalyptic world with my personnel experience. The metaphor running through the whole poem is comparing the end of civilization to the end of a long relationship, and the feeling of an entire world being shattered. However, with the destruction of the preconceived notions of the old world wiped away, the light of the new day imparts a freedom, and clarity of mind and truth.
