On my most high

On my most high

A Poem by Samuel Ferris

In

the Light

I AM a Wave,

Summoned from the depths

of some unmovable

pitch-black

spring.

In

the Dark

I AM a Vibration

echoing across the moon-

mellowed surface of a silence broken

by the push and pull

of the

wind.

I am a quiet, borrowed light, ringing

Down, Down past the pillars

of the deep

earth.

On

the bend

between days

On my most High, I AM

a reflection of orange-purple twilight,

vanishing, as my moment most beautifully crests,

ephemeral, between the toes

of unknowing,

immutable

form.

Gladily
here I rise

each day reborn

as the arc of the pendulum of forces pass

through my plot of ocean.

I am

perpetually

Springing forth

each molecule with in me, forward and flowing
as the sea swells to meet the golden orb of morning

The Same Sea flows in me as it does in you my brother. Rejoice!

Let us Sing now of the wind upon our Backs, Let us Sing -

of the morning air, as we crash forward clawing

at granules of sand beneath the base

of a childs feet, echoing

silently back

and forth

into the

Sea.

It's intriguing, fascinating how the stanzas progress in shape .. width .. words .. whatever .. as if light is growing stronger and stronger .. or the spirit expands in depth or meaning .. maybe it's waves running a shoreline ..

You're seeing, feeling .. gaining strength .. absorbing what's around you, becoming one .. i do that with the countryside .. it fills me ..

you did well... they say "seeing is believing" but it's really the other way around, believing is seeing...
