Wake Up Tomorrow

Wake Up Tomorrow

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

To Granddad. To Grandma.

"

I wish I'd wake up tomorrow

And everything would be alright

Oh, I wish I'd wake up tomorrow

And you'd be by my side

Then these past few weeks of missing you

Would be nothing but a bad memory

Oh, then these past few weeks of missing you

Wouldn't matter anymore

I know you're still out there

Watching over me like an angel

Oh, I know you're still out there

But without you it's lonely here

I can feel the hollowness of your absence

With every one of my heart beats

Oh, I can feel the hollowness of your absence

With every breath I take

It's only been a month since you left

But it feels like an eternity

Oh, it's only been two months since you left

But I'm already forgetting the sound of your voice

I wish I'd wake up tomorrow

And that I could have you both back

Oh, but when I wake up tomorrow

You'll both still be gone away
