No Longer Waiting

No Longer Waiting

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

Another rhyming poem.

"

I know you don’t regret telling me goodbye

As I try not to let you see me cry

I won’t shed anymore tears over you

Or dwell on the hell you put me through

You’ll spend your nights lying awake

I’ve become so fragile I might break

You’ll be left to wonder what if you’d tried

You could still have me by your side

I used to be waiting on the wings

Now you wait for a phone that never rings

It’s too bad you never gave me a chance

I know we could’ve had an epic romance
