To Persephone

To Persephone

A Poem by dan nacario

To Persephone I sing sweet desire,
In this poesy that escapes my lips,
That filled thine own ears with echoes of lyre,
Oh! Her eyes shed pearls but her heart still sleeps,

Shall I make war upon Eros' mischief?
With this, fair of sadness would soon begone,
To Demeter I was this maiden's thief,
Fair that I knew in somber I forgone.

thanks..
A very nice write, you bring out Greek Mythology well in this write of yours. I like this, especially this line here:
"Oh! Her eyes shed pearls but her heart still sleeps,"

Brilliantly Greek/Shakespeare sounding. I'm supposing this is Hades' point of view. :) Wonderfully written. I think I'll go read To Hades next...
