Happiness

Happiness

A Poem by hardeep sabharwal

HAPPINESS

I have read biology but forget the name of that bryophyte,
Which a day I tried to find near the railway lines,
And I looked at night sky through Hubble's telescope with cataract in eyes,
There is a star of happiness, an old lady once told me,
But I always looked suspiciously at her knowledge,
As I looked at that greedy doctor,
Who decreed me of an immediate operation,
Telling my disease in extreme condition,
Being suspicious sometimes becomes a part of life,
As scams are the part of our political system,
In Grammar book it is written that antonym of happy is sad,
Best things are in heaven and worst in hell,
And every peak has a fall,
But if we are not sad, it does not say we are happy,
Still we don't have any other options,
So shall we continue to search that star?
As it is hard to conclude where the happiness begins,
And Edison discovered only the bulb to lit world,
And big bang is so silent this time,
It was a summer day or may be in winter,
Happiness was lying near me, like a room mate,
And than I realized
The star of happiness is in the eyes of viewer,
And not in skies,
Happiness lies in the place, where you are .

Your poem is such an impressive one. You mixed the form of science to your poetry. This line surprised me, " The star of happiness is in the eye of the viewer, and not in the skies."
