When is enough enough?

When is enough enough?

A Poem by HavenMarie
"

Bullying results.

"
When is enough enough?

Was it not enough when she said they were making fun of her weight taunting her unmercifully?

Was it not enough when she said they put kick me signs on her back and began to kick her?

Was it not enough when she came to you with bruises and cuts from beatings in the parking lot?

Was it not enough when she came to you crying because they called her s**t just because she occasionally gets cold sores on her lips?

Was it not enough?

And every time you said you would do something about it you didn't.

When is enough enough? Was it enough after the fact that she took her own life?

Enough was enough a long time ago. For a sick person like you, enough is never enough.

You take this verse and put yourself in her shoes and express the thoughts point blank... and eyes wide open to the reader... Yet, in the mist of the whole thing... the person you're trying to get across does not regret for that matter... the aftermath...

oh my god, this is such a powerful poem! I actually got goose-bumps! Very well structured, your use of repetition was really hard hitting and the rhetoric questions created a harsh, accusing tone, forcing the reader to shift uncomfortably in their seats. I feel like this also works on two levels, the bullied realise they are not alone and that someone understands their pain. While the bullier receives some insight into the emotional and physical effects of their bullying.

As a prac teacher, I've been seeing a lot of bullying in high schools. You're poem really captures and builds upon this theme. It really makes me wish that no one would ever have to feel like this.

Excellent work my dear!

wow, i love this poem. Even though it's short, it paints a perfect picture of an abused girl who was bullied and comitted suicide. I like this, too many bullies out there in our education system and in wider society. great read :)
