Love

Love

A Poem by Chris

Love is but a word,
Simple yet absurd.
Love describes a feeling,
Sometimes used in healing.
Description is impossible,
Finding it... Improbable.
Some may seek it out,
Others can live without.
Some claim it necessary,
Others say it's secondary.
Both may be true,
Love's a feeling known by few.
They say there is one for everyone,
Yet some will find none.
Love is but a word,
Simple yet absurd.

Author's Note

Chris
I'm just bored. Writer's block hit me hard for the past few months.
But, tonight, I hung out with some friends, my cousin and a young lady he is fond of.
An idea sparked up. But, clearly, it burnt out.

Aw, this is cute! You always have those "meh" pieces of writing, but they're excellent to get back in and write again. It's pretty "rhyme-y" but I like it.

This poem is short and it has a really brisk pace. It's not the best thing I've read of yours, but it's not bad at all....I like the paradoxes in it. Sorry you feel it burnt out, but sometimes the best way to get out of writer's block is just to keep writing til something clicks. Anyway, nice effort.
