Business Card

Business Card

A Poem by Hawaiian_fire

-

So it came to pass one December morn

a dream in a suit my eyes adorned

knock on my office door filled with glee

wanting to talk of securities.

It was easy to see his maturity

his style, and his grace astounded me

Hair brushed to perfection

eyes blue as the sea

never stumbling on his speech

he presented me.

Rambling off on the price that I pay

and there I was dreaming 'bout kisses in May

Say, did he mention 401k?

oh, let's just return to romps in the hay.

Then saying goodbye after giving a start

and following him was the beat of my heart

Promising all the joys he could bring

in disappearing he left me only one thing-

And I, staring agape the second he part

at the dreamy picture

on his business card.

If it was a gold business card, fantastic. Might be worth a re phone.
Good fun write in the night and a morning of satisfaction guaranteed in the dreamy business card.

Ha! Love this. So playful and fun over something that's usually an annoyance (salesmen). Love the fun you're having with this one. Definitely a favorite!
