Oh, Grandfather

Oh, Grandfather

A Poem by Eda
"

My grandpa passed away unexpectedly back in March from late stages of leukemia and none of use were aware of the cancer.

"
You are burnt into my memory...
and you left when I needed you the most now.
In-human can be perceived as the way your eyes lit like no other,
and it is impossible for me to go through each day
without thinking about you somehow.
My nights are welcomed in new heights I can say
for I know when the sun cracks I will see you again,
but why did you leave us with this wilted sorrow
when all we ever wanted was to forever hold and hear you, my friend?
...With you is who I see the greater good
because you have moved me strongly like no one else could.
And all I ever wanted was to be the cause of the gleam in your eyes forever,
but now I'm left to only remember.

Not until recently have I felt the means to think of myself as a writer; a new and amateur one, of course, but one the same. I am 20 as of now, but have always felt different, like i do not belong .. more..
