Small Measure of Freedom

Small Measure of Freedom

A Poem by Eda
"

The image of my late grandfather floating on top of the ocean for what seemed like an hour

"
I look off into the distance
and see you
Surrounded by an ocean of blue
Where I stand there is gushing wind
But where you lay in no dismay
do I hear a slight whimper
You are all alone,
floating in what seems like a pool of greatness
One against a group of many
But there is an unforgettable comfort to what I see
that tells me you are temporarily free
And if no one bothered,
you'd might just float there in eternity.
