A price of Cold Loneliness

A price of Cold Loneliness

A Chapter by J. Viands

So you think you’re alone

You think you have reason to throw away this world

It’s a shame I can’t say f**k you to your face

Your thoughts make you worthless you know

Maybe you deserve your fate

For the lame excuses you made

Now lay there cold and more alone

In the gleaming bloody mess you made

Achieving nothing other than breaking hearts that once had faith

You foolish boy no matter how old

Why could you not see you where not alone?

I have felt the same in ways you could not contemplate

A worthlessness bearing down on me for days

But never managing to die in such a selfish way

I remember the days I felt the same way

Hanging from the overpass

Ready to collapse from the day’s weight

In the end I could only walk away

So now I guess they will lay you to rest

Give you what you wished

Peace in your decay

With a price of cold loneliness to pay
