Paradox

what you are.. with me.. without me..

to admit what i have always denied to confess:
The distinction I hold in your life...
I am- forever second, and never the best
in your heart and not in your head.
For I am both your weakness and your strength.

Without me- you are vulnerable:
a spark that will never ignite into flames,
drizzles not made into pleasant rain,
ideas that lack coherence,
existence without a soul.

With my dominion- you are reckless:
a boundless fire, unstoppable and fierce,
blizzard- cold and heartless,
notion doomed into jeopardy,
life-- without direction.

So I shall stay second and never the best,
in your heart and not in your head--
For then you are-
the spark that en-kindles the perfect warmth,
the rain the cleanses the spirit,
dreams turned into reality
the life that knows how to love

and it shall be that way..
for then you are closest to perfection
But without me or with my dominion-
You are a paradox.

Nice use of figures of speech...
It is so touching that sometimes the people we love are those having different thoughts from us- the persons who are opposite of who we are.
That's the irony of life- we need to feel the pain so that we may understand what is true joy.
I hope there's a bit right of my interpretation in this piece.
