Poem 5. SUMMER FRIENDS

Poem 5. SUMMER FRIENDS

A Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)

Missing the “Kabayan Atin Ito” Group. I am not so active these school days.

"

We are like those rare flowers

Which bloom only in summer

We enjoyed the sunlight and a little rain

Together we danced in the fields of green.

But now we are no longer dancing together

The truth says that we are nothing

But only few summer flowers

Wishing that it's summer time again...

This reminded me of my childhood summers spent in my grandparent's wherein i got to meet some friends there who made each summer memorable and fun. at the end of each summer, we part ways but on the next summer we played, got dirty and do naughty things again just like what we used to do in the last summer. Those friendships that blossomed during summer could actually last until....forever (if there's a thing as forever). Nicely penned dhaye!

You seem to be an advocate for the flowers which is kind of nourishing, a lovely write.

this is very special, I really have this love for flowers and it's amazing to read your poem that made a picture for them. Nostalgia crawls in my emotion and I must say I love the choice of music you've put on this poem! Very nice. :)

Is nice how you notice the little things that make the whole difference when people disregard them. Very well said.

A marvelous poem Dhaye full of honesty and sincerity blooming with friendship.
Only thing I think it should be in summer instead of on summer . You can double check but I could be wrong.
Went into my library...:)
