Poem 15. I JUST CAN'T

Poem 15. I JUST CAN'T

A Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

It's not easy to dispose of something so valuable.

"

Is it easy to forget
When the memories you keep
Are the only things that give you a reason
To smile
To laugh
To whimper
To live?

Don't ask me to stop in my tracks
By throwing away
The recollection.

I can't.

I'm not a fibber
Like what you think.
The blades coming from you
Create countless wounds
In my heart.

If only I could have another choice
To touch you in another world
I would.

I can never dispose of
The most precious gem
Even in my dreams.
I just can't

But I have to try...

You are so right dear poet for it is so hard to dispose of something so precious and that we all hold dear to our heart and soul. Only the heartless can do that or the the careless...We should cherish and give value for things we can see and can't see, touch or can't touch...Bravo

when misunderstandings lead to the end of a friendship... I can relate absolutely, and despite such tragic endings, treasured memories remain untainted. If things said could be unsaid, undone, rewind, pre-realized, if only then... and if not, to wait for another world and there to meet again... these words of yours hold so much sadness and regret...
