Poem 17. HOMECOMING

Poem 17. HOMECOMING

A Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

of a wandering mind

"
The bells are ringing
The music is playing
They are all smiling.

"Welcome back, honey!" they say.
"You're so beautiful today.
We're glad you've found out the way."

"I was lost a month or more
Sailing in, can't find the shore
My cabin seems without a door."

"Cheers! You've passed the test.
Come, lay down and rest.
Tomorrow will be the best."

my pretty friend... often times we got lost in our way to home, like there is an endless darkness that you're walking blind... though even in darkness you'll always find light along the way, it just takes time to see through...

cheer, welcome back my pretty friend...

I love how this embodies a teens struggle through depression and finding the light at the end of the tunnel...and going to homecoming with confidence and beauty.
This is just a random online read! I loved it.

You're welcome
Wonderfully depicted homecoming in this rhymed piece.
Rhyming three lines stanzas in blue ink charmed my heart and eyes.
Thanks for sharing.
