Poem 47. I AM MY FATHER’S CHILD

Poem 47. I AM MY FATHER’S CHILD

A Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

I can

"

Hey, look at me.

I am my father’s child.

Do you hear, do you see?

I need Him as my guide.

I am my father’s child

Do you know, do you feel?

Even if I grew wild

He tells me what is real.

I need Him, I love Him

Who knows what I once felt?

Condemn me if I’m a shame

Make it sure there’s no guilt.

I am my father’s child

Don’t block the way for me

I want to go back right

In arms of Him, oh thee.

We become our parent and need them with us. I like the story and the desire of the poem. I remember holding great respect and fear for my father. I tried to copy his life in a sense. I enjoyed the energy and reason for the poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
