Poem 63. I AM AFRAID

Poem 63. I AM AFRAID

A Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

Don't leave me here...

"

I don't know why I feel this way
I'm too afraid, my dear angel
I feel like I'm alone again
Here in this sad and dark corner.

Is it a bad insight of mine
That you're going to leave this time?
Why do this heart seems want to cry?
Isn't it time to be just fine?

I miss my smile, my precious smile
You brought it back for that short time
We talked a lot, not for awhile
Things seem to be absurd sometime.

When I met you, I was grateful
That an angel has come along
Who'll teach me what is right from wrong
But now that dream has now its doom.

I am afraid, my dear angel
Please hold my hand, don't leave me here.

I like this monologue Dhaye. Instead of formally praying (btw, i read your A Prayer, and it's very heartfelt) i would talk in my mind pretending that i am having deep conversation with the higher being. And your piece resonates some "conversations". the idea of being left behind is not only heartbreaking but likewise terrifying especially so when you are not yet ready to let go.

This is amazing. It definitely touched me in a way I wasn't expecting. This piece seems very sad or fearful? But in some ways I can relate. Thank you so much for sharing

You just created another piece today Ms Dhaye . This is wonderful. Thanks for sharing .
Ms Dhaye why is there a sense of fear in the heart and soul of this poem ?
If an angelic being showed and revealed himself, would it be for keeps ?

:) :) :) :)
Very poignant piece. We need to smile, we need to embrace life more than we do far too often. Good work! Keep it up.
