Poem 10. STRANGERS IN THE RAIN

Just another concept for my collection...

Stranger, on that rainy night you came along
While I am alone singing my somber song.

That night when the heavy downpour
Conquered my weary mind and soul.

You offered your hand, your arm
And together in the rain, we danced.

But like a selfish one, I wanted to grab
Your body, your soul, your heart.

Only to find that it couldn't be
Because from the start I cannot see.

That 'us' is just a word  so uncertain
We're just two lonely strangers in the rain.

You're close affinity with the RAIN

When the rain comes you think
that everyone has gone away
When the night falls you wonder
if you shouldn't find someplace
To run and hide
Escape the pain
But hiding's such a lonely thing to do

I can't stop the rain
from falling down on you again
I can't stop the rain, but i will
hold you till it goes away...

When the rain comes you blame it
on the things that you have done
When the storm fades you know
the rain has fall'n on everyone
