Poem 49. CAN I?

Poem 49. CAN I?

Can I listen once again to the sound of your heart
To the notes of your songs and the poems you recite?

Can I see once again how you paint my sweet smile
Embrace me and hold me while we walk through the mile?

Can I feel once again the love that once we shared
Like in those old pictures which remind how much you cared?

Tell me if you'll let the yesterday come back
Now that your present's well and you got all the luck.

Tell me if there's a chance to forget all my lies
Erase the memories with sadness in your eyes.

Tell me how can I mend the pain of that goodbye
Now I want to win you back but I don't know how can I.

A powerful poem. I like the questions asked in the poem. I learn three times. Second chances rarely work. Too much separation and disappointment cannot be forgotten. The song was beautiful and the poem, a true story for the heart. The heart release last even after our hope. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Thank you so much, CP.
Your poem is so bittersweet, Dhaye. I can feel your longing to reunite with one you so dearly loved. You should know that if this one doesn't work out, there will always be another coming along who may just turn out to be the one you really want and need. Good luck to you and God bless.

Thanks, Tom.
Dhaye you can spin words and phrase faster than a spider spun its web. This is a recent post. The choice of background music really works well with the piece. Its both relaxing and reflective as well.

This one found its way into my heart, my friend. Regret, we all have a bit of that in life, don't we? Sometimes impossible to erase the pain and heartache, but if you think it is worth it, fight for it. One never knows if there is a possibility. The images are so romantic in this one. Strong romantic longing. Well written. Lydi**

Good for you, my friend!
Those goodbyes are hurtful and may cause discomfort and sadness to our lives and styles. We have to adjust by moving on or take back what was lost...A splendid poem...:)
