Poem 23. CHANGES

Poem 23. CHANGES

A Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)
"

Just a thought...

"
rain and flower photo:  rainflower.gif

I am no longer in that old picture
I've faced the changes in front of me
With open arms, I embraced them all
I threw away all the trashes of yesterday
And held on to the gems of today
Which could make me whole
Since the day you made me sick
And left me like a wilting bud

I was there
The fragile flower
Looking at those distant rays
Wilted
Damaged

But one day I have opened my eyes
And there I saw
It's not the sun
Nor the wind
Would make me renewed
It's the rain

Now that I was healed
I can smile
I can laugh
Without those tears inside
I will stand in the open once again
To wait
To feel
Not the sun
Nor the wind
But the rain.

Beautiful flow of words and thoughts.
I will stand in the open once again
"To wait
To feel
Not the sun
Nor the wind
But the rain."
When we quit living. Only darkness in the ending. I like the above lines. The rains allowed us to know we can feel and we are alive. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Of course. That's emotive but not seductive...

I agree... No darkside either ... Keep it clean and simple
But one day I have opened my eyes
And there I saw
It's not the sun
Nor the wind
Would make me renewed
It's the rain
Really liked this poem, smart flower, to recognize the rejuvenating resource, also apereciating afterwards healing too, two common qualities realization and gratitude, we may skip

Thank you so much!
Love this, 'just a thought' she says, a profound one indeed. Yes it's those cleansing rains that let us peek at the sun through new eyes. Well pen'd as always Dhaye!

I really enjoyed the message here. The rain part reminds me of one of my own poems. Very nicely penned.

Thank you so much, SA.
Interesting poem, I'm a fan of rain myself and I think the rain we experience in our lives often does make us grow, and you have acknowledged this wonderfully.

Thank you so much, A. Ah, the stories behind it? I wish I could tell you some other time.
A wonderful poem. I like the imagery of wilted buds. The rain at the end gives it an extra magical element...You are churning out gems...:).....
